Firefox 3.6.21 released

Postby Antony » Thu 01 Sep, 2011 12:21 pm

Similar to the release of Firefox 6.0.1, Mozilla also released Firefox 3.6.21 addressing a security issue involved fraudulent *.google.com certificate. It is said that at least one fraudulent SSL certificate for public websites belonging to Google, Inc has been issued by DigiNotar. (The fraudulent certificate has now been revoked by its issuer.)

Firefox 3.6.21 can be downloaded from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

And, for the same reason, Seamonkey was updated to v.2.3.2. I used the incremental update, i.e. Help|Check for Updates, for both FF3.6.21 and SM2.3.2.

....except that today I have SM 2.3.1, and it is alleged to be the latest version. But, there seems to be a 2.3.2.
Oh well! I downloaded the complete version from the Seamonkey website. I will have to see if this is an easy come easy go version. I will install it, and report.

If, as you say, SeaMonkey was updated to v2.3.2, you will find that Help | About SeaMonkey, will show v2.3.1 due to a bug which will be fixed in v2.3.3.

Dave.

Thank you. I could have saved myself some time and puzzlement, had I waited for a response. I have this 2.3.2.exe installer on my Desktop. I uninstalled Seamonkey whatever, and this installer with the 2.3.2.exe, and, sure enough it says that it is 2.3.1. To make things even more confusing my Add/Remove for Seamonkey says that I, last, used it on 8/27. The "bugs" are here!
