In some cases, I have found the solution to something there by searching, most other times, I have not.

When I looked at the Ubuntu packages web site, they do show both i386 and amd64 packages for Firefox.

Just a little extra tidbit: A preview release of 64-bit Flash has apparently been out for all operating systems since last month. I don't know how I missed this.
