They have news at SpreadFirefox too:

Today our Firefox web browser hit the 80,000,000 mark. What an accomplishment -- and we here at Spread Firefox are directly responsible for making that happen.

Just nine months after the release of Firefox 1.0, we've got tens of millions of users who can go back to using the web rather than being abused by the web.

Keep spreading the Fire!

Seventy million downloads was just about a month ago! Time to celebrate 75 million downloads was on 27th July.

Other exact dates from Antony:

I'm guessing it's only going to be a matter of minutes before our administrator uses this thread to make one of his inevitable comparisons with the iTunes Music Store.

The download for Firefox is very steady. I made this chart based on number of downloads posted in SillyDog701 Message Centre.

It seems as Mozilla Firefox has been getting all the attention with it's high download numbers. I'm interested to see how many downloads Mozilla Thunderbird has had since it's December 2004 release.

Mozilla Thunderbird has only had a fraction of the number of downloads that Mozilla Firefox has
had, although I don't know the exact numbers. Mozilla Firefox has now passed 85m downloads.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!
