Tastes pretty good, though I'd say it could use a bit more lime flavour to it.

I wonder why Pepsi hasn't responded to Coca-Cola Zero. Tastes like regular Coke, but is diet (no calories).

That's what Pepsi Max is. Pepsi Max has been around since the mid-1990s, Indeed it's Coke Zero that is/was a direct answer to Pepsi Max.

I found some Pepsi Max and tried it. Although it was the "regular" kind, no flavors.

Pepsi Max "Ceasefire Lime" has been available here in the UK for a few months now, although it's branded
as Pepsi Max "Citrus Freeze" instead. It's quite refeshing, taste a bit like a combination Pepsi and 7UP,
but with an emphasis on the lime flavour rather than lemon. Pepsi Max Cherry is also available here.

I believe the US version of Pepsi Max is slightly different to the UK and Aussie version, in that (AIUI) it's
sweetened with a sucralose based sweetener. This would mean that Pepsi Max in the US can't use the
tagline "Maximum Taste - No Sugar" since sucralose is partly derived from sugar.

Pepsi Max in the UK uses a combination of two sweeteners ... Aspartame and Acesulfame K.


As for Coke Zero, that was introduced in the UK in 2006, while Pepsi Max was introduced here in 1993.
Coke Zero is effectively 13 years too late ... and it is most definitely, an undeniably inferior product.
It even has a similar tagline on its ads ... "Great Coke Taste - Zero Sugar!" ... LoLZ!

I also found Pepsi One, which has Splenda in it, instead of aspartame.

That is the only item in the Pepsi stable (at least, here) that is not using the new lower-case "pepsi" typeface and logo.

Pepsi One, as I recall, was the US equivalent of Pepsi Max, as it originally used the same sweeteners.

Pepsi Max is separately sold here. When Pepsi One first came out, it was sweetened with aspartame (e.g. Equal), then the formula was eventually changed, the aspartame was removed and was replaced with Splenda (sucralose)

Pepsi One has one calorie. Not sure what in it that gives it one calorie. There are other Splenda-sweetened drinks (Diet Coke with Splenda and Diet Rite) that have zero calories.

I am a huge diet coke drinker. I tried the Diet Coke with Splenda as a way to kind of make my habit healthier. But it tasted too different. It didn't taste like my favorite diet coke.

I read about it too. Evidently the Coca Cola Co. Claimed drinking that amount of water could kill a person as well. How disengenuous.

Drinking too much water is not good for people, but I don't think it could kill people.

I haven't had a can of Coke for the last two weeks or so. Instead, I have tea (usually decaffeinated after the first one) and/or green tea. (Oh, the doctor told me not to have cold drinks due to flu.)

I drink about six bottles of water a day. It keeps me happy (if you know what I mean). Now... drinking a lot of water too fast can, in fact, kill you. It happened on a radio contest here in America about a couple of years ago. These two contestants were trying to drink several gallons of water in a very short period of time and this woman simply died. I can't remember what the autopsy showed but it was a direct result of her drinking all of that water in such a short period of time. I drag my six to seven bottles of water out over the entire day. I never... ever... ever drink soda. In fact, I can't remember the last time I drank a Coke or Pepsi... probably when I was a teenager and that was a very long time ago. LOL

When I was in undergraduate, I carry a 2L water bottle to university each day. Then, I would refill the bottle once or twice in the university. I've been making fun by my friends for drinking that much water in a day.

I have to admit that a 2L water bottle was pretty huge compared to regular size (600 - 750 ml) version.
