I saw both Diet Pepsi with Lime and Diet Coke with Lime on the shelves today. Also the regular versions with lime. I bought one 2 liter bottle of each to see which was the best. Usually Coke IS the best!

The Diet Coke with Lime doesn't taste bad. In my opinion, it's the only flavored Diet Coke they got right.

I also like the cherry-flavored Diet Pepsi.

Diet Coke sweetened with Splenda just hit the shelves in the Boston area. It's the closest thing to the Diet Coke sold in Canada, which tastes sweeter. That has acesulfame potassium and aspertame (aka Nutrasweet) for sweeteners.

The Splenda-sweetened Diet Coke also has acesulfame potassium.

I think the Diet Coke with Lime is not so great. Leaves an after-taste that isn't very pleasant. I have to go with the Diet Pepsi with Lime, which leaves no after-taste, and seems to have a better flavor. Both have the same type of sweeteners, but no Sweeta. They both use the acesulfame potassium and aspertame. Both contain phenylalanine, which is not the greatest thing for the old bod. Same thing used in embalming... :shock:

I think Pepsi put more thought and testing into its flavored products than Coke did.

The worst soft drink I've had to date, was the vanilla Diet Coke, absolutely putrid...

Another product one has to acquire a taste for is, good old MOXIE. It's mainly sold in the New England area today.

Coca-Cola ends Vanilla Coke in UK (BBC, 3 November 2005):
Soft drinks giant Coca-Cola is to end sales of its Vanilla Coke and Vanilla Diet Coke in the UK from early 2006, despite only launching two years ago.
Instead it is to replace them with Diet Coke With Cherry to add to its existing Diet Coke With Lemon and Diet Coke With Lime flavours in the UK.

The only drink that my school has in the vending machines that's guaranteed to be there every day is Pepsi with Lime. If it's available, I'll usually stock up on Mountain Dew for the day (because it sells out quickly) and just load it in with all my books. Of course, that rare an occasion is once a week, I don't like regular Pepsi/Coke, and I need caffiene in some form to stay awake through classes.

We've had the Cherry Coke and Diet Cherry Coke for the past couple of years. I believe the Black Cherry Vanilla Coke/Diet Coke, may be an attempt to compete with the Cherry/Vanilla Dr. Pepper and Diet Dr. Pepper, that has been out in the U.S. for some time now.

Ironically, the local Coca-Cola bottler also bottles Dr. Pepper...

I'm not surprised that the Vanilla Coke is being discontinued for now, I once tried the Diet Vanilla Coke and it was the worst thing I ever drank!

Pepsi managed to get the flavored Pepsi's, right.

I never touch the stuff.
The only soft drink I drink is 7UP and that's only
after I have had a migraine. I drink it flat to settle
my stomach. Just a glass. I drink a lot of water, or a
cup of tea.

I drank Pepsi one summer at the cottage, out of the can.
I was outside and got such a sore mouth from the pepsi that I have never touched it again. It burned the inside of my mouth

I prefer water. I use to prefer a glass of beer in summer while working around the cottage.
That's all, I never could drink two beers, I'd get sick.

The 1.25 litre of Pepsi was only 98 cents (in Australian dollars of course), and I was too lazy to walk down the aisle to grab Coke. It was next to the check-out.

i find coke gives me a lump feeling in my throat, haha i don't know why.
The only pop i hate, is Dr Pepper, and grape. yuck, can't stand either of them... haha
