I, as time goes on, will try to keep an eye on this issue. I certainly would hope that harmful amounts of benzene do not exist in certain soft drinks.
I have to warn you that, in my experience, such claims of harm and lawsuits on such issues are rarely founded in scientific truth in terms of human harm. [For example, no long-term studies, in my knowledge, on silicon beast implants has scientifically proven that they cause harm.]
Another case-in-point is the fact that a certain artificial sweetener does
break down, producing methanol, which is toxic; however, the amount of methanol in a can of pop is less than the amount actually found naturally in apples. Humans can metabolize very small amounts of methanol.
