Are you so sure? Do those players support streaming protocol, the one that's popularly used, and your routher/hut/OS did not block the access to the ports used by streaming.

Yes, each one fully supports RTSP transports. If I'm not mistaken, Windows Media Services can even broadcast to clients over RTSP.

I just tested the files encoded in both H.264 and Sorenson Video 3 on Windows Media Player on Windows. It is clear that Windows Media Player does not support H.264 and Sorenson Video 3 video codecs.

What's the point of complaining streaming protocol?

I already said that you need to install a suitable codec pack.
