Getting online with a mobile phone???

Postby Subir » Wed 20 Oct, 2004 8:14 am

Okay here is the situation, I am thinking of upgrading my moblile phone to the Sony Ericsson P910i (on Orange Pay Monthly). I am pretty sure the phone sports GPRS (and many other cool features)! 8-) For the full specification please visit the Sony Ericsson and/or Orange webite(s).

The problem is that I am going away to Birmingham for a couple of days next week and I am taking my laptop with me. I would like to get online with my laptop whilst I am away (I am not going to pay good money to use the Travelodge's Wi-Fi HotSpot's)! I was just wondering if I can get online with the Sony Ericsson P910i & if so how?!?!

My laptop has 802.11b (not g), but the Bluetooth on it is broken (I can fix it though if necessary).

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance. 8-)

You would have to check with Orange to see if they have the service where you are going.

I have a Nokia 3100 (the avatar at left) which has GPRS capability with my wireless provider and can web browse with it. Costs .02/Kb (USD) to use on the plan I have, so I do not use that feature much.
