Google Updates Chrome Frame Add-On for IE

Postby Antony » Thu 10 Jun, 2010 4:21 am

Although still in beta, Google has released a significant update to its controversial Chrome Frame, an Internet Explorer plug-in that replaces the default IE rendering engine with the engine that powers Google’s Chrome browser.

Essentially, Chrome Frame embeds Google’s browser (WebKit rendering enging) inside any tab (or window) within Internet Explorer. Or in other words, when you use IE, you are actually using the same WebKit as in Google Chrome, except the IE skin.

Please be advised, Mozilla does not this this idea.

To try it out on your Internet Explorer, visit Google Chrome Frame - Now in Beta.
