Thanks Fulvio and Sissyphys88, the sent mail problem is fixed. Turned out that creating new profiles and then transferring saved email, bookmarks, etc. from the old profiles worked like a charm. I will now get rid of the old profiles and all should be right in the universe. I have kept a copy of your instructions should a problem like this ever arrise again.

When, I saw that you were the last one to post, I feared the worse. I am glad that this mess got sorted out. The moral of the story is to do what the program wants you to do, not what you think that makes sense.
