The thread really should be in the main Netscape area as it does pertain to an aspect of Netscape, but...

On the assumption that you are using Netscape Mail & News to read WebMail, occasionally, there will be an error that it (the program) cannot connect to the IMAP server. I simply wait a few miutes then check again. This is the only time where I've seen it not delete e-mails.

If you're trying to delete them via the web page interface, and it doesn't work from there, then it should be reported as a bug.

I am also having trouble deleting WebMail messages using Netscape Mail & News. Netscape might be having problems with the server.

A message appears to have successfully deleted out of one folder, yet the "N" throbber continuously runs afterwards until I exit NM&N.

I'm using Netscape 7.01 Stand-Alone. I only have Navigator and Compose.

I don't believe Outlook Express can be used for Netscape WebMail.

Not Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook 2000, I mean www.webmail.netscape.com .

I solved the problem I had in reading Netscape WebMail using N 7.01.

Went into Mail & News, selected Edit/Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings, deleted the account in question, and exited Netscape completely.

Then launched Mail & News again, and re-created the account. Have had no problems since.
