I have no idea where you started, but the other guys seem to have kept track of what you did better than me. But, if you want to save( back up) the bookmark.html file, you decide where it goes, along with everything else. But, really there is no reason to back up anything, if you just create a new profile. Then, you would have the old profile and the new one side by side. And, you pick what you need from the old, and copy to the new. When I mentioned Inboxold, etc. is because you do not want to copy the old Inbox file to the new folder. The more I reading your questions, the more convinced I become that you are trying to do more than necessary.
Just leave everything alone, and Create Profile from the Profile Manager. Jump give it a different name humpd and humpd1 are different. Then open your NS7, and go your your mail, go to Mail and Newsgroup Account Settings, and set up mail as if it was never set up before. Just do one profile only, first. Then, Compose message, and send one e-mail to yourself. And, then look if you have anything in the Sent folder.
This is pretty much what sysiphus told. If positive, then you can go to the old stuff, and copy one at the time bookmark.html, then the mail files. Take note where they are in the old folder, and put them in the equivalent location in the new one. And, each Profile name has a single, unique .slt folder, which contain what I was talking about. If you are satisfied that all is well, then you can delete the old Profile, using the Profile Manager.
If it still does not work, download Beonex, or anything else.

Thanks Sissyphuss88! You really spent some time explaining all of that to me and I really appreciate your help. I will follow your very clear directions and then post a message when I successfully reinstall NS 7.01.

Fulvio: I read your post after I read Sissyphus88. I will give your advice a try to see if I can get the email to work properly with a new profile. If it works, great. If not, I can do the clean install process Sissyphus88 described. Thanks for your help. You are probably right about me trying to do too much. I tend to make mountains out of mole hills sometimes. Thanks for your input.
