I am running Mac OSX 10.4.3, primary browsers are FireFox RC3 and Beta 1.4.1 on a G5 single 2.1GHz.
i've had my own website for about 4 years now, and everything has worked pretty cool, until i tried to make my archives page a little easier to navigate.
I am using Dreamweaver MX2004 v7.0.1.
I just checked my archives page, and found that it does not work on Safari or Internet Explorer (at least 5.2 for mac) but cannot for the life of me figure out why. It works fine on Firefox and the Mozilla browsers, and until adding this new menu style, it always worked flawlessly in Safari and IE5.
my website is here: http://danconnortown.com
if you click on "archives" a small pop up window comes, and inside of there are a series of pull down menus that have details about the images within. Typically, when you make a selection, a scroll window pops open and inside are all of the images from any given date.
it's not sexy, or amazing, but it has been functional and easy to work with for years now. originally the links to the archives were just your standard underline text that you click on, but it was difficult to navigate this way.
can anyone have a gander at my code and see what i'm missing? i've spent about 2 days, trying and retrying everything i can think of to make it work, but have come to nothing.
if you think you can help, feel free to email me directly, and i can share my code with you, but think it would be obnoxious to post it in here.
well. maybe it's not a bad idea. here's a sample of what i'm having trouble with. I apologize in advance if it really is obnoxious.
<select name="select9">
<option selected>covers & splashes</option>
<option value="<a href="javascript:;" onClick="MM_openBrWindow('covers/splash_01/splash_01.html','','scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=800,height=450')">splash v1.0 complete </option>
</select>
just to give you a sense of it.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
