IE Maximizer

Postby John N » Thu 14 Jun, 2007 6:33 pm

Has anyone used iemaximizer24.exe successfully? This application is supposed to maximize all windows opened. Currently links do not open fully maximized in IE.

I had never heard of the utility, but the answer in this post is good. I have TweakUI, and I never knew that there was a problem with unmaximized windows. TweakUI has been around for long time, and I trust it. Give it a shot.

IE Maximizer works

Postby John N » Sun 17 Jun, 2007 2:05 pm

Thanks for your reference to IE Maximizer. Now instead of having links in the streched out mode, all new windows open in the maximized format. I installed iemaximizer24.exe

Don't understand why Microsoft would not have this as an option. Netscape does not have this issue.

I don't nor ever had the issue, but, since I don't use IE very much, and I have TweakUI, I may have avoided the problem.

I've been using IE new window maximizer version 2.3 since I have WinXP. It's pretty usefull. I didn't know that the IExplorer problem could be solved with TweakUI. The problem with IE Maximizer is that inutilizes the @ letter directly from keyboard in spanish keyboards. Instead I have to use the Alt 64 sequence. The pros of IE maximizer are greater than the cons, at least for me.
I don't remember exactly, but I think that it was here in this forum that I received the recomendation to use the IE maximizer to solve the IExplorer issue.
