Irritable Netscape Advertisement Pop-Up

Postby SicusaAdmin » Sun 19 Mar, 2006 9:57 am

Each time I open My Netscape 8.1 I get a Netscape Popup Advertisement for Netscape E-mail.
I have Netscape set to block other Pop-ups. How can I prevent Netscape own Popup from appearing.

Netscape, by default, has a whitelist for popups, that lets certain "sponsored" sites such as AOL and Netscape's own site display pop-up windows. In Netscape 7.2, you can remove the entries on this default whitelist somewhere in the Preferences menu. I'd assume you can find the popup blocker whitelist somewhere within Netscape 8.1's Tools -> Options menu.

Netscape8.1 does not have a preset white list. I think that one has to add a site, to site controls, and set the desired properties.
Which site is it. I don't get popups with netscape.com, if I try, although I remember getting them with NS7.2, until I removed the site from the whitelist.
