Is it possible to set password for my email account?

Postby orizng » Mon 16 Dec, 2002 5:38 am

PC is public, I want to use NS 7 mail to receive my email, is there any way to set a password for my account and prevent others from entering my mail box? Thanks.

I guess that you would like it, at least, like 4.x, which is, really, not good enough, because it password protects the entire browser.
You could set the Master Password from Preferences/Privacy et./Master Password. But, I do not like to be locked in such situation. Let's wait for other responses.

Even Communicator's Password profile protection is not safe.
Don't download emails in public computers, if need to access to emails, use web-based version.

I agree, if the computer is really public. When I worked, I needed a double password just to get to use the Web, or any programs. I felt pretty comfortable by using one of my "junk" accounts. But, I never left my computer on, and unattended. And, nobody else but tech support had access to the computer, and they did not know my second password.
