Is Mozilla 1.3a available?

Postby orizng » Fri 08 Nov, 2002 9:20 pm

Latest Phoenix build 's UA is:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021108 Phoenix/0.4

so ,why didn't they put Mozilla 1.2 final or 1.3a out on server? I am confused .
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021108 Phoenix/0.4

1.2 Final is coming. 1.3a won't be for a while.

As SD said, it much too soon to think 1.3a. Today's nightly was 1.2b, unless I missed a more recent build. May be Phoenix o.6 or 0.7.

I spend some time to download them all:
Phoenix 0.4 Based on 1.3a(I use it post this topic)
Mozilla 1.0.2 ,do u believe, they are still working on 1.0.2! I had hoped it would include some new features which have appeared in 1.1/1.2, but I can not find any, maybe what they do is just fixng the bugs?

Think ,They will make out so many tree branches(1.0.1.../1.1.1..../1.2.1....)
why don't they jump to the latest Mozilla trunk and make it perfect?

And, If there will really be a choice between Mozilla 1.2.1 and 1.0.2 , which way will NS 's next version go to?

I believe the UA on the Mozilla trunk has now been upped to 1.3a, as 1.2final is due out
real soon, and preparations are now underway for the eventual release of Mozilla v1.3a.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's due to the fact the the Tree
has now been frozen for 1.2final, and that trunk builds reflect the release, after 1.2final.

Please note, 1.3 does not necessary mean it would be better than 1.2, (same applied to 1.2 or 1.1 to 1.0.1)

The useragent change is usually made shortly after branching for a new release. As Phoenix uses the trunk, not any of the branches, it picks up whatever useragent the trunk uses.
