iTunes Music Store teams up with PayPal

Postby DJGM » Sun 12 Dec, 2004 6:57 pm

PayPal and Apple iTunes link-up

Online auction house eBay's payment system PayPal can now be used
for purchases by US customers of Apple's iTunes music store.

Other download services already accept PayPal but the tie-up
with the market-leading iTunes is seen as important.

"This is a big win for our off-eBay business," PayPal's
spokeswoman Sara Bettencourt said.

I think it is a good way for some of us who was previous unable to buy songs with iTunes Music Store (USA). The USA store has the biggest music library.

They accepted my PayPal account, but I haven't tested if it would really work yet as I am still using my iTunes Music Store Gift Certificate.
