i have copyed linuxserver lastlog file in my windows desktop
but i am not able to open it

it is not opening in text editor like notepad.
file is readable,bacause i can read it through "cat lastlog" or "vi lastlog"
in linux terminal. even through penguinnet ssh terminal also

using a plain-text editor to read it.

Is the file readable?

I believe the logs are somewhat different. In Linux, I always use vi to view any of the logs.

I hate vi. Too hard to use.

I use pico or sometimes just less.

I remember "pico" from my SunOS shell account days. :D

I'm not sure if it is included with the SuSE Linux distro, I never actually looked for it.

In recent distributions, as well as Mac OS X 10.4, "pico" was replaced with the more up to date "nano". "nano" works and acts exactly like "pico", except with a few extra features.
