Well, seeing as I don't have an XBox myself, my first answer would probably
be that I don't know exactly how to get an XBox to run a copy of a Linux OS.
The only thing I can really suggest is to download the relevant files from the
downloads page of the XBox Linux Project site, and burn them to a suitable
recordable CD, that can be used to boot the XBox as though it's a real PC.
All the downloads are here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... p_id=54192
As you have a broadband connection, the large files on that site shouldn't
take too long to download to your PC. I would imagine that you'd have to
unpack the files, as they're all zipped or packed in some way. If you're
dead set on loading your XBox with a Linux OS, I'd say it would be
best to read as much of the info that's relevant on the XBox Linux
project's site:
http://xbox-linux.sourceforge.net/index.php
I'm sure the PHP errors are only temporary, as I can see the website
perfectly OK in both Netscape 7.0 and Mozilla 1.1. Dunno if I'd have
any probs viewing the site in IE, but to be honest, I can't even be
bothered to view anything in IE, except when I'm testing my
webpages in browsers other than Netscape or Mozilla.
Ideally, this whole Linux on XBox thing is really not much more than
an experiment to get non-Microsoft approved system software on
a games console that's little more than a modified PC that runs
some cut down, embedded, hidden version of Windows as it's
in-built operating sysytem. It's good that they've managed
to get a Unix based OS like Linux to run on XBox. I'm
pretty sure that Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer ain't
too happy about all of this though!
