Looking For ACCURATE Weather Add on For Firefox

Postby geffr » Tue 19 Jun, 2012 10:55 pm

I've been using "Forecast Fox" from Accuweather the last few years. They are extremely inaccurate for my area (Seattle-Tacoma, USA). I recently cancelled my newspaper subscription, so I now need an accurate net weather forecast. Any suggestions?

I have used Forecastfox for long time, and it has been quite satisfactory.
It tells me that it is 81 degrees, and cloudy, precisely what the weather channel says. And, the the temperature should remain the same, but with thunderstorms, and cooler tonight.
The reports are from AccuWeather. I am finding that Tacoma is sunny, 62 degrees, and Seattle partly sunny, and 66. The high should be 75, in both places. Tomorrow, pretty much the same.
Forecastfox can be as toolbar, and I get a radar report, and forecast for five days

In Seattle it's often incorrect by 10-15 degrees.

I am a bit old fashioned. I simply bookmarked http://www.weatherzone.com.au/ for detailed weather forecast. Otherwise, I just use the operating system's Widgets.

LOL... I do the same. I use my home page (Yahoo) and customize it to give me the weather. It does an admirable job for my location. Can't be bothered with the widgets and extensions which frequently gave poor results anyway. :D
