A friend recently gave me one of his licenses to Mail Washer Pro. He has used the program for years in order to cut down on spam as well as unwanted e-mails. My question is simply: is such a program really of much value given today's browsers? Both Firefox and Windows Live Mail have fairly robust spam detectors and I suspect Opera's mail and Sea Monkey's mail have the same. So... why bother with such a program unless you are besieged by spam (which I am not)?
Any thoughts particularly given the fact that it is free to me? Any users of this program?

I haven't tried Mail Washer Pro (nor heard of it before). Usefulness? Well, it depends on how you handle your emails. Some people do not reply on Hotmail's or Gmail's spam filtering.
Mail Washer Pro might have some special detection functions that others do not have.

Thanks, Antony. I've read a bit on the reviews for this program and it would seem that it is rated quite highly. The real issue appears to be exactly what you said: how does one handle his/her e-mail? Here's a link to Mail Washer Pro:
