You may want to take a look at
Opening a New Window with JavaScript, which shows you some of the attributes you can use to remove things like scrollbars and the menu bars. Take note, though, that in most web browsers, you can opt to prevent JavaScripts from doing this, and therefore your settings would not be seen. Take note of Mozilla's in-built JavaScript functionality blockers:
Here, you can see that it it is possible to disable all of these features, or better yet, disable JavaScript entirely and not see the new window at all (like I've done here).
Users of ZoneAlarm Pro or Security Suite (like me) are able to stop JavaScript and pop-ups from loading:
Or, there's always Mozilla's built-in popup blocker that will block this as well.
Case in point: JavaScript's effects are different for every user. And I mean every user. That's not to say that I'm the only one with two-layer popup controls and ZoneAlarm's JavaScript blocking either. Keep in mind that it's on a rare occasion that something like what you're trying to do gets past both Mozilla's inbuilt functionality and ZoneAlarm Pro.
Please keep in mind that blocking JavaScript through both ZoneAlarm and Mozilla at the same time is a disaster waiting to happen. It has only been used as an example here.UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040804 Donzilla/0.6PR2 (like Netscape/7.2; wml/1.3)
