Should the message "views" count not be incremented when viewed by the author of the message, giving a zero count when the message is first posted?

If the purpose of this count is to indicate to the author how many people have viewed the message, they wouldn't, surely, want their own views included in the count?

Also, should the count be incremented when someone views the message more than once, unless there are replies to the message and then, not more than once per reply?

What are your views (pardon the pun!) on this subject?

Good point.

There's actually a MOD for this feature, but I was too lazy to install it.
To me, the page count is not that of a serious issue. And the unique SillyDog701 feature is more important.

No, it's not all that important but I would prefer it to accurately reflect the number of people who have viewed the message! <g>
