For Immediate Release
Citing concern over future possible Anti-Trust issues raised by the European Union, Microsoft has decided to release a version of Windows XP that it feels competitors such as Apple Computer can effectively compete with.
This version of Windows removes anything that could be considered inspired by any other person or entity, among the changes include.
No support for FAT32, NTFS, Long File Names, or large hard drives, users will instead be required to use FAT16.
Users will boot to a black screen with a blinking cursor. (As having a GUI might be anti-competitive).
No support for networking or TCP/IP.
No support for video past CGA.
No File Explorer.
No support for the Windows Key.
No support for mouse, USB devices, or CD/DVD drives.
The name has not yet been announced but it will likely be named Windows XP-EC Edition.
In good faith, and as part of the due diligence phase of the project, Microsoft sent a copy of the new OS to the European Commission for review.
Italian spokesman for the commission, Guido Sarducci had this to say "We're very happy to see that Microsoft is willing to back off and stop stealing ideas from everyone else, we are however disappointed that we can't sue them for more American dollars, sure Linux ripped off ideas from everyone too, but there's no corporate entity to go after, we'll just have to keep sending things like ALDI to America to drain some of their economy to keep us chugging right along and mailing welfare checks to half of our people. What? Tell them to go to college and make something out of themselves? AMERICAN BASTARDS!!!!!!!!"
Note- This article is a joke, not meant to be taken seriously, it'll probably get deleted by the person running this site like everything else he doesn't agree with anyway though.
