Postby Hendikins » Tue 26 Nov, 2002 6:06 pm

The (hopefully) 1.2 final builds are being smoketested.

Not long now!

Note: It appears that Palm Sync will be shipping with the Windows version.

Real soon now, since if there's no major problems, the current 1.2 builds will be 1.2 final...

The windows build is rock solid, as is the Linux version, so I doubt there will be any trouble...

Thanks Hendikins! This will give me something to play with during our Thanksgiving break at my University.

I'm not sure when I'll decide to upgrade Netscape 7 to Netscape 7.01. That may depend on when NS7.01 is officially released and when a new CCK package is released.

Testing from Mozilla 1.2

Postby Antony » Wed 27 Nov, 2002 6:03 am

Just installed Mozilla 1.2
I guess I like it so far, beside it does not show up my "dog" favicon.

You can also add this pref to user.js to display "favicons":

user_pref("browser.chrome.favicons",true);

This has been disabled by default since 0.9.8 in Mozilla builds, although it does not affect icons specified using <link rel="icon"> - these are always displayed.

There are two ways to add shortcut icon (favicon),
Code: Select all
<LINK REL="icon" HREF="images/sillydogicon.png" TYPE="image/png">
<LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="/images/global/branding/sillydogicon.ico">

Please see Shortcut icon issue thread.

Since Mozilla 1.2 is withdrawn, shall I lock this thread?

Maybe until 1.21 is released? Damn this IE6 is annoying! I'm gonna download a phoenix zip build and put it on their comp ;)
