Thanks, Ramona! Just a quick question , have you ever noticed any Moz 1.4 deciding to make itself default? I don't know what triggers it, but it happens very often, and it never asked me, nor I clicked the button to make it default.
Interesting, it seems to by-pass the Pref-bar. I always remove the User Agent, and I did this time.

Fulvio,

Not RC2, but definitely in 1.4b, and every time I opened Mozilla, I had to reset my System settings in Netscape, as Mozilla would take over as Default! Haven't had time to unzip RC3 yet, but will probably do it later today...

What's your experience with RC3?

My experience has ben like yours, and RC3 seems to be back to the old tricks. That's why I am in Beonex, now. I will have to keep an eye on this.

I keep trying to use Mozilla 1.4 RC3, but it takes my sys resources down to below 15%, in fact down to 9% this a.m. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have an exceptionally lean startup, nothing running in the background except NAV and ZA 384 MB RAM, plenty of HD space, clean Cache, temp files, etc. At the time this happened I had nothing open but Mozilla, and the Mail window.

I have spoken to one other user using this Version, and he has had the same experience. Right now I have Netscape 7.02 plus open Mail, and Opera open and my resources are at 67%....

FWIW

I have not seen anything so extreme, but I will recheck it. But, when I enabled Quick Launch, it froze everything up.
I start with 89% of my resources. I have Netscape and Thunderbirdd open, and I have 67% of my resources free. After opening Moz1.4 RC3 I dropped to 62%. But my 128 MB of RAM are shot. I will max out with anything.
I am looking at this with my AOLtray monitor. I did not do anything with Moz1.4, but there is something strange about your resources drain.
Are we looking at the same thing?
