Can someone summarize this nonsense? It does help anyone. Somebody should just stop.

The one thing I'll say about this, the new icons may have only been implemented in the Windows
build, and not the builds for Mac OS X and Linux, but then this is only a "release candidate" build
that we're on about here. Who's to say that these new icons won't be included in the builds
for Mac and Linux between what have now and the eventual release of 1.7 final . . . ?

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

Very unlikely. This is based on Bug 99380, with the comment:
"Yes, this started out as a cross-platform bug, but eventually became Windows-specific. Reason being there are different expectations on other platforms (especially Mac) and one set shared by all platforms isn't possible."

Sure,
ChrisI made an announcement post.

I (Antony) noticed one of the statements claimed in Mozilla 1.7 RC1's Release Notes was not true. The questioning statement: “A new set of icons for files that are associated with Mozilla.â€

Bottom line: This IS supposed to be a forum of friends sharing FRIENDLY interchange and information. I am correct in this am I not? I deal with 'putting out fires' on a daily basis as soon as I walk out the door in the morning in my physical world.
Silly Dog has been one of those oasis's of intelligent, civilized exchange that I have come to rely on for worthy information and some PEACE and QUIET! Not that everyday or entry has to be all happy chocolate all of the time; there'll always be a ripple anywhere at any given time, granted, but this isn't a competition of intelligence or wit or resourcefulness, but a gathering of friends sharing friendly input. Am I right or wrong?
Just my 2 cents.

Yes, that's one of the goals of SillyDog701.

Well, I believe the correctness and the accuracy is somehow very important.

What did they do to it???

Even on my Linux-only 166 MHz Pentium/MMX box, 1.7 RC2 loads and runs faster than 1.6 did...
