"Final" simply means that Firefox (or any software) has been released. It is the release version, not an alpha, beta, or release candidate.

In it's GUI Gallery, ToastyTech.com has several pages of screenshots of Mozilla Firefox 1.5 running on various supported and unsupported operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS X, and a number of *nix flavors.

Nathan Lineback wrote:Mozilla.org recently released Firefox 1.5. Firefox runs under a huge number of OSes and GUI environments. It is officially designed and maintained to run under Microsoft Windows NT 4 or later, Windows 98 or later, MacOS X 10.2 and later, and various recent versions of Linux. Numerous contributors have provided versions of Firefox built for even more operating systems.
