I suggest that you use 1.0 stuff (instead of 1.1), because a) it's more stable, b) we need people testing 1.0 branch, c) it's better for browsing purposes, and d) it's, for all end-user purposes, just as advanced as 1.1.

I agree that 1.0 should be recommended, but what do you mean by a and c?
I am not talking about the nightly 1.1a, but the release from Mozilla.
Except for a few minor changes 1.1a is the same as 1.0.
As for b) which branch do you mean? I thought 1.1a was ther branch, and that 1.0 has been amply tested.

In theory, there is no difference between the release and the nightly, and in fact, the release is just a nightly that was decided as ready for more intensive testing. Also, 1.0 is there because it has less crash-prone features, so by definition it is far more stable. It is often known as the 'stable branch'.

1.1 is on the trunk, for testers mainly, while 1.0 is a separate branch which is most suitable for browsing. For more info, check out the Roadmap.
