MozInfo701 updates layout and new Directory section

Postby Antony » Sat 06 Aug, 2005 2:33 am

MozInfo701 was [sdt=4166]launched in December 2003[/sdt], since then, it has been a great resource and information centre for all Mozilla product users.

SillyDog701 is pleased to announce that MozInfo701 has updated its layout similar to the [sdt=9504]new layout used in SillyDog701[/sdt].

We know we are not the only website providing technical supports to Mozilla users, and we've never claimed we are the number 1 website, therefore, we created a new section - MozInfo701 Directory section to include links to other great Mozilla related websites.

Currently, the Directory is not completed yet. We are working on this.

(MozInfo701 Directory was not really new, but it has never been mentioned.)

Other sections (such as "Mozilla") will be available shortly.

As usual, all comments and suggestions are welcome.

Nice work! I kind of like how the various parts of the site now seem to be color-coded:

Front door: Black
MozInfo701: Blue
Netscape Browser Archive: Green

I'm not sure that I like how the top half of the "MozInfo701" header graphic is a much lighter shade of blue than the bottom half. I might suggest redoing the header graphic in a more gradual light blue-to-dark blue gradient.

Great work! But when examining http://moz.sillydog.org/dir/firefox/extensions.php etc. there is only one question:

Antony, when do you sleep? :D :D :D

Thanks. but I have to be honest, those data are from Open Directory Project (dmoz.org) with some modifications done by me. Of course, still more sections to cover.

I adjusted the colour of the MozInfo701 header, and hope it's better now.

mozfaq.org is not related to MozInfo701. There's no plan to launch it at this moment.

Please note, the URL http://mozfaq.org/ not http://www.mozfaq.org/

Please do not add "www" when not necessary.
