MusicMatch 8.0

Postby StudentPrince » Sat 22 Jan, 2005 6:25 pm

I have downloaded MusicMatch 8.0 but unable to locate any reviews that give me the information I need. Question: Can I use this program to copy audio from a turntable (vinyl records) onto a CD-R? And, if so, how do I do it? I have the cable to connect the output (RCA) of the stereo to sound card input (mic?, or?). Thank you so much for your assistance. Sincerely, StudentPrince

StudentPrince,
This is possible. Connect the RCA end of the cable to the stereo's Line Out jack, then plug the mini-stereo jack into your computer's Microphone (or Line In) jack. Now play back your record and have MusicMatch record. Once you're done recording, put in a blank CD-R and have MusicMatch burn the recorded album to a CD.

I never had much success with a straight recorder in such a case. Instead, I use the Microsoft Plus! DME Analog Recorder to have it eliminate some of the noise associated with tapes and records.
