Need to upgrade from 4.78 - but want ...

Hi all,

I use netscape 4.78 for mail, and for newsgroups because it has some features I LOVE ...

1) In newsgroups, there is a thing called references ... I LOVE this feature.
I have not found anything else which has this feature.
This is my 100% necessary feature and will not upgrade without it.

PS - I have not changed to seamonkey or thunderbird for newsgroups because I have not seen this feature ... which implies that if it exists, I cannot find it!
I use both seamonkey and firefox for the internet, and I keep to netscape for newsgroups and mail.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!


2) I can, and have - loaded netscape onto my d:\ drive so if I upgrade or crash my computer, I do not need to change my emails or my newsgroups.

What is the latest version of netscape which has all these features?

Why not take a look at Agent to see if it has these features you're looking for:

I tried Agent years ago, and retried again just now.
I love it - EXCEPT the feature I want ... references ... are missing.

BECAUSE they are missing, I went back to netscape.
Because they are still missing, I will not change from netscape.

It might not be what everyone else wants or needs, but I want it, and use it all the time.

I am not going to DOWNGRADE features I use and need.
