Herbert,
The G3 iMac you have is exactly the same as the one I have. Or at least it was like that, until I upgraded
the RAM and HDD to install Mac OS X. The newest and most up to date version of Internet Explorer made
for Mac OS 8.6-9.x is v5.1.6, and is the last one to be made for the classic Mac OS. The latest version
of Internet Explorer for Macintosh, v5.2.2, is only available for Mac OS X version 10.1 or higher. So too,
is Camino, a browser that uses Mozilla's Gecko browser engine, and the Aqua UI of Mac OS X. It will
not install or run on the classic Mac OS 8.x-9.x. Netscape 4.8, was as Mandrake said, just a bugfix
release. It offers nothing extra over Netscape 4.79, and has all the same page rendering problems.
Unfortunately, the Mozilla browser suite is no longer under development for Mac OS 8.6-9.2.
The last releases of Mozilla for classic Mac OS were v1.2.1 and 1.0.2. Your best bet for a
new browser is Netscape 7.02, or upgrade your OS to Mac OS X, to make the most of
all future browsers developed for Mac, including Apple's own Safari browser.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!
