Netscape 7.01 Streamline available for TESTING

Postby Antony » Thu 12 Dec, 2002 11:38 pm

Netscape 7.01 streamline (with Mail/News) is now available for testing.
Netscape 7.01 Streamline (build 1) (13.18MB)
featuring similar to Nav 7.01 stand-alone, except with Mail/news, AIM/NIM and SpellCheckers
BuddyList is not disabled.

Please report any problems

I think that the problems are with me and the Popup blocker not getting along, but I can live with it. I just like better the Popup control with the Prefbar.
So far, I have had no luck with setting up my Newsgroups, but, again, I do not think that it is the program.
Quick Launch can cause problems, even after being disabled. I started with QL enabled, but I disabled it from the systray. I closed Netscape, but I got message that Netscape was busy. There was nothing in the Close Program box. Finally, my problem with the duplicate shortcuts. It did the same as before, i.e. , delete one from the toolbar, and the computer locked on the second one. So, this time I dragged everything on the desktop, and, of course, I got choice to select only one. Not bad.
The only thing which bothers me is thew Quick Launch behaviour, but what do you expect with three copies of 7.01? Actually four, now.

Does anyone have any more reports?
If there are no bugs due to Streamline, I will release it very soon.

For Streamline, yes.
For Stand-alone, I updated.
