Postby alfrae1013 » Sat 30 May, 2009 12:55 pm

I am getting repeated windows saying that an error occured in netscape.exe, microsoft will be notified and I am disconnected. Any ideas what causes that? Also does Netscape 9 have mail?

Netscape 9 does not have mail, and has long been discontinued. As for help, the best thing I can recommend is to upgrade to SeaMonkey.

Program error.

iJohnE was right. If you want to keep using Netscape 7.2, you can simply re-install Netscape 7.2. However, we recommend SeaMonkey.

Hopefully, the errors (Registry errors?) will be fixed by reinstalling, or installing Seamonkey.
Seamonkey is very much like Netscape7.2, and it uses the same profile as Netscape7.2.

If you refer to NS9.x, the error should, most likely be at netscp.exe.
Richard is correct, as alll support and development of Netscape has stopped a couple of years ago. There are many option, and Seamonkey is the only Suite of browser and mail.
In all other cases, one uses a browser, and a separate mail client, like Thunderbird.
I use Firefox as browser, and have strong leaning toward Google Chrome, and Thunderbird
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/firefox.html for Firefox
http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/ for Thunderbird
http://www.google.com/chrome for Google Chrome
