Downloaded NS 7.1 from Silly Dog, but same as download from NS web site....doesn't open upon launching. 1/2 page in gray, 1/2 page in white, with red typing at bottom. NO text on rest of page...blank.

LOVE NS 4.7 email program.... rest of email programs don't offer features needed for my work...

Laptop ibook ...MacOS - 10.3.2 933 MHz Power PC G4... 256MB memory

has Classic Environment, but is that just for OS9 program, or NS4.7 work on that as well?...but...but laptop won't start with that program downloaded

Help very much appreciated. Not terribly computer literate...just basics.

What does the red text at the bottom say? Chances are it may tell you what is going wrong, and maybe how to fix it as well.

I have no idea what happened to Netscape 7.1 you downloaded. Please give us more information.

As for Netscape 4.7, yes, it will work, and I suggest you downloading Netscape 4.8.
To run it, it is wise to install it in Applications (Mac OS 9) folder, and double click it, your Classic Environment should be launched, then follow the on-screen setup instruction.
