I just posted, the wrong way, the below message and received a reply. I figured out the new post way so I am doing this again.
The reply I received did not make much sense to me. I am a user. not a geek so I know very little geek language. I need user language.
I think what I need is the Netscape Steamline version. My daughter only needs the browser and Email capability. Please let me know if I am correct. Thank you.

I want to download Netscape 7 and save it to a CD-R. I have downloaded 7 sucessfully but it is configured automatically. I have cable modem and my daughter has a dialup modem. I know from experience that I never was able to download Netscape sucessfully when I had a dialup connection. It took forever and something always went wrong. I do not have a credit card so I cannot order a CD online. Is this possible? Thank you.

It is a good idea to have the program on CD, if there is a dial-up connection.
I do not see any reason not to burn a CD, as long as your CD burner has some basic software. The automatic configuration has nothing to do with the download. You want to put on the CD a file with a name like NSsetupB.exe,Netscape70_sd701.exe or N7-DJGM-pigeon.exe, if you got the complete Netscape download, the Sillydog or DJGM varieties, respectively. And, then double click the file and let it do the installation.
What are you referring to, when you say: "Is this possible?".[/quote]
