It is quite different from my old Netscape 4.72 & 4.79 and I am learning some about it. Thanks a lot.
Hope all of you are well.

Kit,
anything from 4.7 to 4.8(the latest) are just about the same, except for fixes and tweaks.
I have been knocking Mail Notification, since it came out. If you are satisfied with something that will not show anything notification, until you are In Mail, where you can see what you have, anyway, and having several accounts like me , it tells me only of the last arrived message, then you have notification.
The envelope which shows up in the systray, and persists there, even if you exit mail, tells me only that I have not opened the latest e-mail. Then, it will be gone, and it will be gone the moment that you leave Netscape.
So, it is a useless attempt to appease the masses which have this requirement. There is a way to set up to play a .wav sound, but again it tells what is already obvious. I am using ePrompter, which has notification consisting of a numbered and color coded sign, which rotate till all up to 16 accounts have been shown, so a green color is Yahoo, yellow is Softhome, etc., and I have azero and an one, respectively, telling me of the unopened message. I can have a different sound for each one, but even they can't handle it if I have two or more accounts with new mail at the same time. But, they have a different sound, yet. Netscape should have something like that, and I would call it ,really, mail notification.
