Netscape 9.0.0.4 Will NOT Retain Registration for Bank

Postby jvanho01 » Thu 29 Nov, 2007 10:31 pm

I just upgraded from Netscape 9CR1 to Netscape 9.0.0.4 and now have the following problem:

I bank at Best Bank and their logon procedure is a 2 or 3 step process depending on whether or not you are using a public or private computer. If using a private computer when you first logon you input your logon ID and then it prompts you for three security questions and gives you the opportunity to register that computer. Then it prompts you for your userid. Thereafter when logging in from that computer it skips the security question. This has always worked up until I upgraded to Netscape 9.0.0.4. Now it will not remember the fact that I registered the computer and therefore it always asks me for the security question. Is there a fix or do I need to roll back to the previous version or move on to Internet Explorer.

You should be ok, as long as you retain cookies.

Not true, I retain cookies and it still does not recognize that it is a registered computer.

A standard experiment is to create a new profile, register with your desired website (be sure cookies are enabled), and see if it works then.
