Just downloaded NAV 9. Easy install and imported my bookmarks fairly easy. Some of my settings did not follow the NAV 8 import. (Pop up blockers setting, some user name settings) Nothing really important. Read about the weather bug problems, but I just moved it to the bookmark bar and it's out of the way. Have to get use to the mini Browser and I like the link pad. Have not really used it much to really test it. But I am looking forward to it.
One quick question. NAv 8 use to have a email button that would launch my default email program. I don't see that in NAv 9. Am I missing it or is that just removed?
Any info would be great.
Once I play with it, I will post more. But so far so good.

I truly am a computer dunce. NS9 is just the browser, i.e. Navigator? No other functions *but* it imported your bookmarks?
I have ancient NS4.7 for emailing, filing emails, addressbook, bookmarks, and was using it to maintain my website until the other day when "it" said it no longer supported it. I just changed my Navigator homepage to yahoo.com for now till I figure out what to do.
Above J-M indicated I should look into Silly Dog (which I will) for my needs since NS9 is a browser only. Did you use your NS8 for email, etc.?
I tried NS6 when it came out and hated the look of it - couldn't read easily nor find the "stuff" I was accustomed to plus it did not import my addressbook nor bookmarks (I can figure out how to save the bookmarks). I hear from others that the look of NS7 is similar and have no idea if it imported all data.
If I switch to Silly Dog, I wish there was some reassurance that email folders, email files, and addressbook will not be lost. I would be so beyond flipped out.
So above explains what I use NS4.7 for and why (it's easy and familiar); however, I use Mozilla and ugh IE for browsers since the ancient NS4.7 doesn't support hardly anything.
I'll keep watching this thread.

I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory.
