Netscape 9.0 questions

Postby ronp » Thu 22 Nov, 2007 7:57 pm

A question that may have been answered.

I was running Netscape 7.2 and have installed 9.0.0.3. It runs well, but when ever I use 7.2 email that has an web link in it, clicking it brings up the old 7.2 browser, not the 9.0 one. Is there anyway to fix this?

Also at times, web sites will just up and refuse to believe I have flash 9.0 installed. Anyone else have this trouble?

Ron,
there is no way to fix the mail issue. If you open NS7.2, you will be in it, for the stay.
NS9.0 is a standalone program, and you will need a standalone mail program, like Thunderbird or Netscape Messenger to make things work right.

Ron,
although I think that Messenger is very good, it is, only, at the very first alpha release. A lot of people do not like to use preliminary builds. I have no problem doing it, but, if you rely on it, exclusively, you are taking chances. But, refer to a previous thread. And, read it.
