Netscape Communicator 4.7

Postby Noel Furgson » Sun 17 Nov, 2002 7:11 am

I run Netscape Communicator 4.7 Professional Edition - Which I bought a few years ago. The little "Shop" Icon in the bar with Stop, Reload etc is VERY annoying, How do I remove it? Also, I have noticed that their is no Netscape Communicator 4.8 Professional Edition for download, can I still update to 4.8 and keep my Calendarring?

Thankyou!
Noel.

Noel,

Put this in your pref.js file (location: C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\PROFILE_NAME\):
Code: Select all
user_pref("browser.chrome.disableMyShopping", true);

The pro edition of Communicator was abolished after 4.72. You won't find no Communicator release with calendar in it after that point. My advice is to upgrade to 4.72 if you can to get the last fixes that were made to calendar.

I don't think there even were any differences in calendar between 4.7 and 4.72.

Also, upgrading to 4.8 shouldn't do anything to the Calendar...
