Netscape Communicator Mail containing a URL link.

Postby rociepka » Thu 10 Jun, 2004 7:30 pm

When I click on a URL link received in an email, Netscape Communicator opens. Since a lot of sites do not support Communicator anymore is there a way to make the link open with Netscape 7.0 or IE?
I really like Netscape Communicator mail but I have to copy and paste the link into IE or Netscape 7.0. I do not like Netscape 7.0 mail.
I was thinking there may be a way to edit the user_pref file.

Thanks
Dick

Unfortunately, there is no way to execute a URL link in the Mail portion of Netscape Communicator and have it open in another browser, other than copying and pasting URLs as you have been doing, or keeping both programs open and dragging-and-dropping links from the Netscape Communicator Mail window into the window of Netscape 7.0 or another browser.
