There were many good technologies available in Communicator only. Sadly, I can't use them in Netscape 6+.

Which ones?
Do you mean the 4.0 (not 4.5) products for communication, collaboration, and working offline?

Well,

Only the Messenger half of it. I love the simplicitiy. I only wish it would support multiple POP accounts. However, creating shortcuts to my two mail accounts makes this not such a big deal.

For browsing, I use MozillaFirebird 0.7 pretty much exclussively.

I am using 7.1, because it does so much more than any of the others.
Yes, Communicator has some decent properties, and, I keep it, just in case. Having multiple accounts iit is a no brainer. Of course, it would be nice if there was a 7.1.1 to fix the resources drain.
And, I test all Mozillas, which I wish it would stop hijacking the default.
Firebird, is, at least polite, and asks me.
NS3.x and earlier are interesting, but cannot be used for browsing, not much nor well.
NS6 has dead ended by making it nearly impossible to get the address books. And, while NS7.x can be used with an old and slow computer. In my first experience, 6.0 took 25 min. to load, and nearly one minute for every operation.

I used Netscape 4... in almost all its versions and liked it very much. I am really impressed by N7 and that's why my vote goes to it. Very complete and easy to use. I remember downloading, installing and deleting N6 all in the same day; that was really a bad one. I used N4 untill I got N7
