Netscape Customization

Postby Warduke » Tue 10 Dec, 2002 8:48 pm

I just downloaded 7.01 and it's great, the first thing I did was change the throbber link so that it takes me to this site  but I do have a few questions about other things I would like to change/add...

Is there a way to add image blocking to 7.01?

And is there a way to remove that little button between the address bar and the stop button?

Thanks.

To add the option of blocking adbanner images to Netscape 7.01 you can
download and install adblocker.xpi. Restart the browser after installation.

As for that button between Stop and the URL bar, to get rid of it, you need
to go to the Navigator section of the Preferences dialog window. Go to:
Edit - Preferences - Navigator - Smart browsing - and simply uncheck
the "Enable Internet Keywords". checkbox. Close the Preferences
window by clicking OK, then when you next visit any site in the
browser, either by clicking a bookmark, or entering the URL,
that button will then automatically disappear without trace!

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!
