I had not used the old Netscape address for years, but, as a test, I did a search for netscape.net mail. When I clicked on that, I got a netscape.aol.com page, obviously a news/webmail place. I clicked on Mail, and saw my old netscape.net username/password. I selected that, I fond a single e-mail. A greeting from aol.com. The netscape.net mail uses, now, the old netscape.net username/password, but the server has changed. So, should one want to get to that mail, it is, now, firstname.lastname@example.org
I was able to set up that account, very easily, similarly to my other, original, aol.com,as an IMAP account. I have been using my default e-mail address, as smtp. So,, I have, now, two AOL accounts, hardly ever used.
