Netscape Messenger 4.7 and MAPI

Postby glsniper » Thu 10 Jun, 2004 11:36 am

Hi,

I currently trying to use Project 2000 to assign tasks to people. Project 2000 generates an email and then sends it using MAPI. I have the correct contact in the address book and the "Use MAPI with Netscape" box checked, but for some reason Project 2000 can't pull the right email address from the book and just ends up trying to send it to the person's name. Has anyone else come across this problem?

Thanks.

I believe the version is Netscape Communicator 4.78.

I think I'm just going to have them use a different mailing client program, after all NC 4.78 is fairly outdated.

Thanks.

and, so is Project 2000! Just kidding.
I went to Project 2003, which has a link to 2000. http://office.microsoft.com/home/office ... FX01085795
I tried it with Firefox, which has no mail, and, very wisely I got a red warning telling me that the browser was not supported. Then 4.8 locked up, and Mozilla1.6 gave me no unfavorable report. Since a requirements popup told me that Netscape6.0 or higher work, I tried the oldest one I have, i.e. Netscape7.02, and it passed.
