Ramona, I have two other and active Webmail accounts. It is possible to ask the webmaster, or whatever, to have some changes made, but after two e-mails with one of my accounts failed to be replied., I gave up.
However, I, also gave up on the iTunes statements that there was nothing wrong there (at least, I got some reply). I had my AOL account, temporarily reinstated, and, immediately I was able to access iTunes and the Prototype Community page. In other words, I signed on with AOL, and I stuck with it, although I am signing on with my parallel @netscape.net account.
I got AIM and NIM in NS7.2, but I don't know if it would help.

You will find "remove site" when right-clicking on one of the one of the listed domains.

The MS keyboard shortcut for a right-click is shift-F10 after highlighting.

Postby Brian003 » Fri 11 Feb, 2005 10:21 pm

Hey everybody, just downloaded 8 from softpedia and I was wondering is it just the browser and no mail client? Sorry in advance if this was covered before.

It is called Netscape Browser, not the suite

It is indeed, at the moment, only a browser. I've been using Thunderbird alongside Netscape Browser (a test subject, mind you), and the two work great together. You can sort of get the Netscape Suite effect with standalones if you pick up Thunderbird for mail, Gaim for AIM/ICQ, Nvu for HTML composition, and whatever exteisons to Netscape Browser that you want like Mozilla Calendar, DOM Inspector, etc... But, why go through all the trouble of downloading all that, when Mandrake Linux comes with everything you need preloaded? :D

Not to be a source of rumors, but who knows, AOL might release a Netscape Mail standalone based on Thunderbird if enough people request such.

netscape 8 mail

Postby Brian003 » Fri 11 Feb, 2005 11:09 pm

Thanks, I thought there was something a bit odd... anyway I'll stick with the suite, I could never get thunderbird to display properly, that and the importing mail from netscape thing. :)
