Netscape: support to other languages

Postby martymann » Wed 03 Aug, 2005 6:01 am

:D Hallo friends, this is my question: Why doesn't Netscape support the Italian language? That's why in Italy we're using Firefox.....I know, we could learn English better, but with a language support we could have a better integration with our OS language. I've been a Communicator 4 user, and I remember that I used my browser in italian language......can I hope that in the future I'll be able to find a language pack for Netscape 8?
Greetings from Aglientu ( Sardinia - Italy)!

At the moment, I don't think Netscape supports anything other than English (Both American English and Canadian English). I guess they think it's just not worth the effort...

Hello Marty,

The short answer is they don't have enough resources. I believe localised version can be easily created by skilled end users (or someone familiar with Mozilla's Localisation).
